What's the deal?

So, because I'm going to be traveling a bunch over the next two months, what with the holidays and all, there are going to come a few times, such as the next five days, when it will be easier for me to write a bunch of songs at once and post them over time, rather than sticking to the one a day.
AND...rather than write a bunch of songs that don't have anything to do with each other, I decided to make up a little story and tell it through song.

I think the way I'll do this is, as each song is posted over the next five days, we'll come back here and I'll give a little background on the story. I've given myself a few constraints so as not to kill myself. The first and most obvious being that none of the songs will be over a minute.

So. Act 1: Introduction has been posted, and all I'll say upfront is that this rock opera takes place in space. Check in tomorrow for more.

Well, first I think this would probably be better in the "Video Games" section. But there's not much going on in the forum, anyway, so it's ok for now, I guess :-).

The question is how big of a deal is it to you if you get banned? I think you should stick to your guns and fight for the pro-science side. That being said, it is someone else's server, and they can make whatever rules about what happen on it as they want. It's not a democracy, there are no rights. It's their server. Maybe the science folk should buy and run their own server?  Am I understanding this correctly?

I've been playing Cave Story, the freeware classic Japanese game made by one dude. It's coming out on WiiWare soon, but I wanted to play it in it's original form before I downloaded (which I'm DEF. going to do!) It's so awesome. It's very Metroid, very Zelda. So fun. Just type Cave Story into Google. If you don't read Japanese, like me, there's a patch to make it in English. Check it out!

Poll: Which Song A Day Suggestion Should Jonathan Do Next?

The idea here is that I get so many good suggestions (see above poll) that Ijust don't know which songs to write first. So I'm going to go by thedemocratic process. You need to vote for which songs you want me to dofirst. The songs with the most votes will get written first.

I guess I just don't know enough about RE5. I was just going off of what I've heard, mostly from the 1up podcasts.

I finally finished Half Life 2: Episode 2. I have to say that I think Valve may be the most awesome company ever. They run such a tight ship!

It's been that way for me too. You have to let it load all the way up before you start watching. Pretty annoying, I know. I wonder if I should just go back to "high quality" cause that seemed to work better?

OK. How about we just use Twitter. All you have to do is subscribe to my Twitter account (http://twitter.com/gamejew) and make sure that you turn on the cell phone updates. That way, when I post something, you'll get a cellphone update letting you know. And when I post that I'm doing a live show, say, in an hour or something, you'll know that it's happening. How does that sound to the four of you?

RE4 was so good, I think people were just expecting a similar jump in improvement. Instead, it appears as though they got a step backwards.

That's funny because usually, as of late, I've just felt too tired to do them. Maybe I'll try to do it this week. Really depends on what's going on. One thing I don't like is having them the same time every week. I know that's good technically, for consistency, and getting the most people to come, but it really is too constraining for me. I wonder if there's a system whereby I could let people know right away, on the spot, that I'm doing a show. What about text alerts? I know people hate giving out their phone numbers (I know I do), but I should look into whether or not there are good systems online for sending out text alerts or something. Then when I feel like doing a show, just send out a text alert at that moment and viola.

Thinking about it now, twitter can kind of do this. Hm.

I saw Slumdog...it was amazing! I actually didn't like burn after reading. RocknRolla I haven't seen. My big suggestions are: Bad Boy Bubby, which is amazing, and American Astronaut, which is double amazing. If you have netflix, queue them!

Definitely. Ivory and I were working on one, but it didn't pan out. I may get her to do one, one of these days. There will definitely be some duets in the future.
